issuance of checks brings a laugh

I saw it last night on channel 2-ABS, where Luis Manzano hosts with a chinese-eyed co-host.
The practical joke is: when the junk collector asks money for his junk, the owner/cashier gives a check instead of cash! Oh boy, how the 'victim's' eyes really go wide!
