Great Interviewee

photo: chrisfloyd

MICHELLE YEOH. Oh, she speaks with sense and you barely hear total guff from this Malaysian actress.
I was looking for some Aung San Suu Kyi article/video and, well, in the process, found Michelle Yeoh's interview with some Thai gab host.
The actress plays Aung San Suu Kyi in the film, The Lady.
If you want to improve your English communication skills, then by all means, gather all Michelle Yeoh's guestings and mouth-off engagements! Please.
And that's no guff!!!

Celebrating Birthdays Without Our Parents

He is surprised. I can sense his happiness via his vocal inflection. The roast pig is the additive factor. His daughters have given him some birthday party surps [ shorts for surprise, bimby] (note: since everyone is into shortcuts nowadays! as in, traffic becomes trafs; ballpen becomes ballps!)

Happy Birthday, my dear brother!

With all these colorful cake, oily but yum-yum dishes, and the roast pig and some more dishes, out of this gathering and birthday bash, I have one big fat realization: That my nieces---his daughters---are a bunch of thoughtful persons.

Oh, there is another One bold act of thoughfulness: some portable KTV! Pass the mike, Cookie!!!!

big-adjective-implanted typhoon in the philippines

Yolanda is so cocky about her speed and intensity since " there is no MOUNTAIN to deflect its power." Ah, so...bukid-bukid diay na! Since the money coming from the taxes is either being magic or in Napoles' fat bank account; why not the government make MOUNTAINS! Yes, every centavo will go to this ambitious project and bang! the next time that the Philippines will have a Category 5 Typhoon: just press the button and the Napoles-made este man-made mountains will appear before our very eyes, with matching gigantic and metallic trees to make sure that the powerful winds and whales (knock on wood) from the Pacific will be sliced into bits!

old man and human

we went to a cemetery because today is the death anniversary of my aunt. the taxi had a tasteful playlist: price tag, you'll be (phil collins), forgotten the rest, but STILL under the general heading of tasteful, classy, melodic, great.

[NOT the actual cemetery]

Page Connors (just an alias, Page Connors is actually this stratagem-packed character from the film, Heartbreakers) lit the vortex candles ( is this the right term for those short, stubby white candles?) using this 2-peso priced stick matches. anyhoot, we brought these beautiful vase of flowers (roses, what are the names of the other two?)

My mom sat on the grass. I, too. and surveyed the serene environment. There were two horses; children goofing around....

Then, the old man nearby (a widower) offered a chair for my mom. It is so heartwarming to experience when people are nice, compassionate. I was in utter awe of that widower. A little note: he visits the grave of his late wife EVERY DAY!

commandment(movie) for today

foto: steamboatfriday

movie: high fidelity

1.  Now, get your patchouli stink out of my store!

2. Leave the country!

                               -John Cusack to Tim Robbins

part of speech: YET

1.I HAVEN'T DONE YET

2.THE PROJECT IS EXPENSIVE YET BENEFICIAL TO THE DWELLERS.

Yet can either be: an ADVERB (1) or a CONJUNCTION (2)

word for today

Debacle. I got this while watching the storytelling type of a movie, HIGH FIDELITY, which is topbilled by my fave thespian in the person of John Cusack (his sister, Joan, who is a thespian too, is part of the flick too!). Debacle. John's character spoke about debacle on his latest girlfriend.

debacle. di bah kuhl. an ignominous--i mean--a sudden and ignominious failure (Google's pop-up meaning window) or it would also mean a fiasco. Spell fiasco. utter silence!
